The Process

How the Logo Design Process Works

  1. First we will send on our contractual agreement for you to sign and invoice you for the project deposit to begin work. Payment can be by company Credit card, Paypal, Cheque or Bank Transfer.
  2. We will start the process by asking lots of questions about your company, where you have come from, what you hope to achieve and who you are trying to impress. We then take a look at your competitors and investigate your target audience and demographic to see what makes them tick. Finally only when we are happy we understand your brand and it’s direction we put pencil to paper.
  3. We then develop a design based on our research and present a concept to you via email or at an address online which we will send to you. This will include notes and comments on the design and why we choose certain elements and colors. We then invite any thoughts and comments you may have and can revise the design if needed and produce a subsequent draft.
  4. When you are happy with the design we will invite you to formally sign off the project indicating you are happy and do not wish to change the concept further.
  5. You will then be invoiced for the remaining balance of the project. Once we have confirmed receipt of this your Logo/Corporate Identity Package will be sent to you via email inlcuding print ready high resolution versions and a style guide if applicable.

  2. We will start the process by asking lots of questions about your company where you have come from, what you hope to achieve and who you are trying to impress. We then take a look at your competitors and investigate your target audience and demographic to see what makes them tick. Finally only when we are happy we understand your brand and it’s direction we put pencil to paper.
  3. If you don’t already have a domain name we can help you choose and register one. There is a lot to a domain name these days and there are certain advantages to different combinations, we will help you come up with the best for your objective.
  4. We will then develop a flow chart/sitemap which is a visual breakdown of all the content on your site where it will go and why.
  5. If the site is quite complex we will create a wireframe which is a bare version of the site with minimal graphics for you to navigate through so you can test where everything is and it’s functionality.
  6. Once we have received any previous branding materials styleguides e.t.c. from you we can begin developing the look and feel of the site and present to you a mockup of what the homepage will look like.
  7. Once you are happy with the design and have signed off on the basic layout we will then cut up the design into images and XHTML so it can be viewed on the web and we can hook it up to a Content Management System or Blog Platform so that we can enter all the content and interior pages.
  8. At this point any applications or site functionality we have developed for you will be integrated into the new layout.
  9. Once the site is ready we submit the site for user testing if applicable and make any necessary adjustments to the user interface based on this feedback.
  10. Finally once you are completely satisfied and the remaining balance of the project has been paid the site will go live at a time of your choosing.
